Plot
The Wizard of Oz begins in sepia-toned Kansas, where Dorothy Gale lives a humble farm life with her aunt and uncle. When a tornado sweeps through the plains, Dorothy and her dog Toto are whisked away to the vibrant, magical land of Oz. Landing in Munchkinland, Dorothy inadvertently squashes the Wicked Witch of the East, earning the ire of her sister, the Wicked Witch of the West, and the gratitude of the Good Witch Glinda, who advises Dorothy to follow the Yellow Brick Road to reach the Wizard of Oz for help returning home.
On her journey, Dorothy befriends a Scarecrow seeking brains, a Tin Man longing for a heart, and a Cowardly Lion craving courage. Together, they face challenges, including the Wicked Witch’s relentless pursuit. When they finally meet the Wizard, his facade is revealed, but the group learns that the qualities they sought were within them all along. With Glinda’s guidance, Dorothy clicks her heels and returns home, awakening to realise her adventure may have been a dream—or was it?
