Guy Ritchie is back — but this time, he’s swapped the smoky underworld for Renaissance art, international catacombs, and a myth that could rewrite human history.
Fountain of Youth, now streaming on Apple TV+, stars Natalie Portman and John Krasinski as estranged siblings Charlotte and Luke Purdue. They’re reunited by the dying wish of a mysterious billionaire and sent on a high-stakes, globe-spanning mission to uncover the real Fountain of Youth.
This is Ritchie’s most accessible big-budget film in years, and with Apple TV+ looking for a blockbuster hit for its platform, they might just have hit gold together.
If National Treasure, The Mummy, or The Lost City are constantly in your archive list, Fountain of Youth is going to feel like the reboot you didn’t know you needed.

When the enigmatic Owen Carver (played by Domhnall Gleeson) reveals he’s dying — and believes the myth of eternal life is real — he hires the Purdue siblings to track it down.
What follows is a whip-smart treasure hunt through art museums, cryptic manuscripts, and buried ruins — with pitstops in Vienna, Cairo, Bangkok, and beyond. But they’re not alone. Ruthless rivals, secret guardians, and double-crosses threaten their every move..
Should You Watch It?
Yes — especially if you’re looking for a standalone adventure that doesn’t rely on a dozen prequels or post-credit scenes. Fountain of Youth is made for the audience that grew up on Indiana Jones and The Mummy, but wants something new that still knows how to entertain.
It’s a premium streamer release with cinematic ambitions, and it mostly sticks the landing.
