Avoid these annoying kids shows at all costs – you can thank us later.
Hey parents, what goes ‘round and round, all day long?’ …. awful children’s shows, that’s what!
It’s as if children have some sort of gravitational pull towards annoying TV shows, and once they’re locked in, it’s hard to un-do.
So here’s a heads up on the most annoying kids shows to avoid (in no particular order), you’re welcome!
1. Word Party
A bit like a crazy Auntie that overstays her welcome, Word Party is harmless fun drenched in saccharine. So you can be forgiven if you find the over-zealous joy of it all totally irritating.
Sure, it teaches children new words and sounds, but there’s only so much anyone can listen to ‘and that word is FUN’ on repeat. Sorry Word Party, but here’s a word for you: a-n-n-o-y-i-n-g.
2. Pui Pui Molocar
Are they guinea pigs, are they cars? Who even knows. Granted, the animation is cute, with a touch of Japanese kawaii about it. But there’s only so long you can tolerate the fluffy fury cars with constant squeaks and beeps interrupting your day.
Sure the little ones love the nonsense of it all, but this Netflix series at times can be torture, soz fluffy friends.
3. Little Baby Bum
Quite nearly number one in the top 10 worst kid shows known to man, Little Baby Bum brings all your nursery nightmares to life, in hour-long episodes that feel like an eternity.
It’s got all the classics: There was an old woman who lived in a shoe, Humpty Dumpty and Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, amongst them. Put your earplugs in, turn it on mute, or better still, avoid altogether.
4. Caillou
This gentle show is aimed at the preschool set, and centres around tot Caillou and his softly-spoken mum – a woman with unfathomable patience.
It’s all very sweet and light… if you’re a toddler. To parents, it’s an irksome blend of primary colours slowing rotting your brain, with an earworm theme tune that sticks like gum.
5. Mr Bean
Is it the mumbling? Is it the silly storylines? Is it the laugh-out-loud moments from your child you’ll never understand?
Let’s face it, Mr Bean was designed to be one of the most annoying kid characters on TV, and it has succeeded. Why the kids love it though, we’ll never know…
6. Rainbow Rangers
If you thought the Power Rangers were something… then the Rainbow Rangers are even more something.
Think Power Rangers meets Captain Planet and you have Rainbow Rangers. The show follows the adventures of seven girls who are Earth’s first responders — protecting people, animals, resources, and the natural beauty of the planet.
While a positive message, the voices, the animation and copy and paste situation and outcomes is enough to drive you crazy while your kids watch over and over.
7. Captain Underpants
There must be a trillion episodes of Captain Underpants, which make it all the more binge-worthy for children. And trust us, they can’t get enough of the toilet humour and fart jokes littered throughout.
But along with its highly irritating theme tune (la la la la), the only way you’ll get through this is in bitesize chunks. If you have to endure, be sure to limit episodes for your own sanity.
8. Gabby’s Dollhouse
So there is this young girl who puts on some magic cat ears, then with a pinch on the left and a pinch on the right, she can shrink down in size and enter her dollhouse. In her dollhouse is where she plays with her sidekick Pandy Paws as they team up for a series of animated adventures.
There are games, there are songs and everything is named after a cat.
9. Henry Danger
If your child is all about superhero life, they might have stumbled across Henry Danger. We feel for you.
With ridiculous plots and school-quality performances, it easily slid into our top 14 worst kid shows on Netflix. This low-budget series is complete with cheesy dialogue and poor acting, overt your remote control if it goes anywhere near it.
10. Sam & Cat
One for the tweenys, Sam & Cat is not a hit with parents. In fact, many find the dive-like qualities of the girls rubbing off, and that’s definitely not cool.
Although it does bring different personalities together and shows the importance of friendship, it’s also everything you hate about screeching ‘girliness’ that American sitcoms do far too well.
11. CoComelon
CoComelon can only be described as a hangover that won’t go away. With painful nursery rhymes drawn out and played on repeat, it’s a strong contender for the most annoying kid show on Netflix. While it might teach your child the alphabet, it’s also the gateway drug to other YouTube sing-along videos.

12. The Wiggles: ready, steady, wiggle
Ok, we get it, The Wiggles wasn’t made for adults. But even so, you’re right to be worried about it ‘dumbing down’ your little ones.
With songs as infectious as threadworm and wholesomer-than-thou content, you can’t help but feel like you might have signed up to some sort of clap-happy cult. The kids might like it, but that doesn’t mean you have to.
Walk away, and don’t wiggle… RUN!
13. LooLoo Kids
The success of Little Baby Bum and CoComelon has also caused further harm to parents’ well-being with the creation of numerous similar shows.
Insert LooLoo kids where a Music-loving baby Johny goes on dance-filled adventures with his family, friends and adorable critters of course.
14. Kongsuni and Friends
Perhaps the worst on the top 14 worst kid shows on Netflix list… and we mean worst, as in don’t ever watch it worst.
The show is about a bright-eyed girl (who has far too much sass and attitude to be a kids show for our mind) and her magical owl sidekick find adventure when enchanting powers and creative ideas lead to important lessons. If you don’t believe us, watch the first 2-3 minutes of the first episode and you will be sure to turn it off and never watch it again.
Guess it’s fair to say not all kids shows can be as good as Bluey, but it’s also fair to say that none of these annoying Netflix kids shows even come close.
