If there’s one thing that the Jurassic series excels at is the dinosaurs. Ushering the age of CGI animals, Jurassic Park made in 1993 is still considered a milestone in film history. Giving us a strong visual representation of what dinosaurs look like and act like. Spielberg’s dinosaurs are still used as the main inspiration for many other films, tv and video games that have since followed.
Since the Jurassic Park trilogy came to life, there has since been new funding and interest generated in palaeontology. Resulting in new fossil evidence being discovered. So naturally, it would make sense to continue the series into Jurassic World.
The Jurassic World series occurs 22 years after the first Jurassic Park and is about an accident occurring in a theme park filled with genetically engineered dinosaurs resulting in a nightmare-like disaster for the tourists. Chris Pratt plays an ex-military animal expert who steps up to try and save the day. This series has continued to three movies with a fourth one expected to be in cinemas around 2022.
With all the anticipation of diving into this dino-filled world in mind, starting with Speilberg’s original classic is a must.
