Coming to Apple TV+, the first trailer was revealed just the other day for the true story-inspired wartime dramedy.

Efron will star as beer-bringing New Yorker Chickie Donohue, who travels to the frontlines of the Vietnam War to bring the hard-working soldiers a little slice of home – their favourite can of beer. Yes, a real guy actually did this. But, as always, what starts out as a well-intentioned journey quickly turns into the chaotic adventure of a lifetime as he confronts the realities of war and reunions with old childhood buddies thrust him into the responsibilities of adulthood.
The film is based on an incredible true story from the New York Times best-seller book The Greatest Beer Run Ever: A Memoir of Friendship, Loyalty and War, by Joanna Molloy and John “Chickie” Donohue. Adaptation has been done by Peter Farrelly, Brian Currie and Pete Jones, with Farrelly taking the reigns as director alongside a team of highly experienced producers.
While Zac Efron is taking the lead with acting heavyweight Russell Crowe (Arthur Coates) at his side, the film will also star Bill Murray, Jake Picking, Will Ropp, Archie Renaux, Kyle Alle and Ruby Ashbourne Serkis.
The Greatest Beer Run Ever set to premiere globally on Apple TV+ on Friday, 30 September.
